Heard of this new craze called "Bikram Yoga"? It's a form of yoga that consists of 26 poses and 2 breathing exercises. The main difference between Bikram and normal yoga is that it is practised in a heated room which is typically 35 degrees and 40% humidity. These poses and breathing exercises lasts about 90 minutes, 60 minutes of standing exercises and 30 minutes of floor exercises. Bikram, commonly referred to as “hot yoga”, was invented by Bikram Choudhury in the 1970s. Choudhury is a yoga entrepreneur who moved from India to the U.S. to teach yoga. He designed this yoga to stretch the muscles, compress the cardiopulmonary system, and improve circulation. Choudhury claims that by practising Bikram yoga regularly, you can restore health, every muscle joint and organ of the body.
